Trade and economic relations

According to the data of the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova, in 2022 bilateral trade reached the amount of USD 36.8 million.

Moldovan goods exports amounted to 1.5 million USD, increasing by 45.4% compared to 2021.

Imports from Sweden reached USD 35.2 million, which represents an increase of 35% compared to the previous year.

The trade balance had a negative value of USD 33.7 million.

Between January and August 2023, bilateral trade totaled USD 30.76 million. Imports from the Republic of Moldova were 0.44 million USD, and imports from Sweden amounted to 30.3 million USD. The respective amounts are 64% less, respectively 38% more compared to the indicators for the similar period of 2022.
