Press statements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the security situation in Israel
October 11, 2023, Chisinau – This morning, by order of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Recean, the inter-institutional crisis cell, coordinated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was activated.
We remind you that the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Israel operates in an alert mode, only emergency consular services are provided, such as issuing travel documents. We strongly urge Moldovan citizens to register using this form: https://shorturl.at/tR9. So far 174 citizens have registered.
Starting from October 7 and until October 11, 613 passengers arrived on the Tel-Aviv – Chisinau route, of which 1️98 are citizens of the Republic of Moldova. We would like to reiterate our call to our fellow citizens who wish to leave the territory of Israel to do so in the coming days, using the available commercial flights. The airport is operating as normal, and commercial flights are still operational, with almost daily frequency.

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Tel Aviv maintains permanent contact with our citizens in the Gaza Strip and works on viable evacuation possibilities from the area. Given that the only available escape route is by land, through the Rafah crossing point on the Egyptian border, we are in contact with the Egyptian authorities.
We remind you of the importance of strictly following the security instructions issued by the Israeli authorities. For any questions or assistance, Moldovan citizens are asked to contact the Embassy in Israel or the Ministry’s emergency line.
