Authorized emigration

Citizens of the Republic of Moldova who have obtained a permanent residence permit in the Republic of Austria or the Slovak Republic and who wish to settle permanently in these states, to authorize for this purpose their departure to live permanently in this state and obtain the status of non-resident of the Republic of Moldova. Obtaining authorization to leave for permanent residence in the Republic of Austria or the Slovak Republic does not affect the person’s citizenship or the rights of a citizen of the Republic of Moldova.
Citizens, who leave the Republic of Moldova to settle abroad, have the right to take on their own account the assets that belong to them and their family members, legally earned currency, to keep their assets in ownership which they legally own in the territory of the republic, as well as the money, securities and other values, which are kept in the banks of the Republic of Moldova. The removal of art objects and other valuables from the country by citizens will be done according to the regulations of the legislation of the Republic of Moldova.

- the identity card and the accompanying card in the original and 2 photocopies (to be withdrawn)
- permanent residence permit in the Republic of Austria or the Slovak Republic (translated into Romanian) in original and 2 photocopies
- birth certificate in original and 2 photocopies;
- birth certificates of minor children, drawn up or transcribed* by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova (up to 18 years old) in original and 2 photocopies;
- the marriage certificate drawn up or transcribed* by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova (only for those who are married or widowed) in original and 2 photocopies;
- the divorce certificate drawn up or transcribed* by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova (only for the divorced) in original and 2 photocopies;
- the death certificate of the husband/wife (only for widowers) in original and 2 photocopies;
- the certificate regarding the change of name and/or first name (only in case of change by deed, other than marriage or divorce) in original and 2 photocopies;
- the consent authenticated by a notary or at the Embassy of one of the parents, who remained domiciled in the Republic of Moldova, for permanent domicile abroad of the applicant together with the minor child, in case they have joint minor children (under the age of 18 years), or the court decision regarding the forfeiture of one of the parents’ parental rights or the establishment of the child’s place of residence with one of the parents in the original and 2 photocopies;

- When submitting the application, the payment of fees can be made in 2 ways: cash at the bank or post office OR by bank transfer with printing of the proof of transfer.
